陶芸は身近な日用品から芸術作品まで幅広く作り出す興味深い分野です。
明治から大正昭和にかけて、陶芸を、使うものから表現するものとしてとらえる大きな動きが起こりました。
赤土社、走泥社など、京都はその動きの大きな役目を果たした作家を数多く生み出しました。
